What is GasMap?
GasMap is a free, community-driven real-time gas price comparison service for stations across Japan. Browse prices on a map, by prefecture, or by city.
Where do the prices come from?
Prices come from public sources and user submissions. Each price entry shows when it was last updated. Entries older than 7 days are dimmed; entries older than 60 days are excluded from averages.
Is GasMap free?
Yes. All core features — search, map, rankings, and submissions — are free. An optional premium subscription removes ads and unlocks additional features.
Do I need an account?
Browsing prices and stations does not require an account. Posting prices, registering favorites, or syncing across devices requires a free account.
How do I submit a price?
Open the station page and tap the “Submit price” button (mobile app or web). You can attach a photo of the price board for verification.
How accurate are the prices?
Prices are reference information and may differ from in-store displays. Always confirm at the pump before fueling.
What about iOS / Android apps?
The iOS app is available on the App Store. The Android version is in closed testing and is expected to launch in July 2026.
